I'm Still Around

I just haven't been knitting much lately. I've worked on unfinished socks and I've worked on the Dr. Who Scarf a little, and mostly I've just looked at a lot of patterns and plotted and schemed lately. That's all well and good, but it doesn't make for very interesting blog fodder so I haven't posted much here.
Honestly, I'm knee deep in Rollerderby right now. This weekend we had a big league picnic and skated around at a city park which has a big crazy concrete skate park area. Those little kids doing crazy tricks on concrete ramps with no helments or pads made me want to ask if their Moms knew what they were up to. haha I was wearing full pads and you couldn't pay me to go down there. I  just skated around on the top and went over a few little angled areas.  It was nice to get out and see everyone's pets and kids etc. One girl even brought her big giant 8ft. snake which Ian will not stop talking about.
The other things taking up space in my brain are the garden (which you can see pictures of over at http://elabeth.livejournal.com but be warned - we had a bunny rampage take place recently) and the possibility of opening a yarn store with my friend Ahna. We are in the very early research for the business plan right now so any and all advice from you ladies who already own yarn shops is totally welcome and appreciated.
Oh well, hopefully I'll have some pictures of knitted somethings next time I post...even if it's just plain old boring socks. :)
